In-Depth Questions

When did you start streaming and who or what influenced you?

  • February 2019 and my boyfriend who supported me and encouraged me to.

What do you like to stream and when do you typically stream?

  • Dead by daylight, or survival games. Typically 7pm PST.

What platform do you stream from? Where do you publish your content?

  • Twitch!

What is the very first game you ever remember playing?

  • Fable 3

What about you and your stream do you feel sets you apart from other streamers?

  • The Izakaya theme I just implemented hopefully gives me a unique experience. Also, I really try to interact with viewers and have even made friends and had guests on streams who I met through my twitch chat.

What are your goals for your streaming community?

  • Growth is one of them, but I want it to be naturally and not forced. I mainly want people to come to my streams and follow because they enjoy watching, and not because they expect a follow back or something.

How do you personally balance your streaming with work and your personal life?

  • It’s hard, and I had to take a step back from streaming for a bit, but I just tell myself that it’s okay to take time for myself so I don’t work myself into a grind. Streaming is a hobby for me - it’s not my career (yet) - so I don’t need to lose sleep over missing a stream and that’s okay. It felt rough at first to acknowledge that but it’s really worked for me now.

Have you encountered any hardships with streaming? How have you worked through them and what advice do you have for your fellow streamers?

  • The only hardship are trolls, which isn’t that bad, but the sexism is really rough sometimes. I turn to my personal support system (friends, etc) and usually talk with them if there’s been an experience like that that really really messes with me, but there have been times where everybody in the chat sort of makes a big joke over the troll experience and it really does help to laugh about it.

What are some of your long term goals outside of your streaming career?

  • I’m preparing to take a law entrance exam for June 2020 so I’ll be studying for that starting in December.

Do you have any streaming tips or suggestions for your fellow True members, or anyone looking to start streaming?

  • Seriously don’t pay attention to the view counter and hide it if you can. You know how they say dance like nobody is watching? Stream like everybody is watching. Keep that energy going in the stream and if there’s a day where you really don’t have that attitude/energy then take that day off. If you steam in a negative mindset it will show.

Is there anything else you'd like us or the community to know?

  • N/A
