In-Depth Questions
When did you start streaming and who or what influenced you?
I started streaming in October 2017. I had a few friends, who I was playing with at the time, telling me that I should start streaming on Twitch because I was pretty decent at video games. I wasn't sure because of how shy I am, but they finally convinced me and that is one of the best decision I've ever made.
What do you like to stream and when do you typically stream?
I used to stream a lot of multiplayer/competitive games, but I tried streaming single player games and I think I have more fun streaming them. I am a variety streamer. I have a large variety of games that I play on stream. I love streaming story based games, Just dance (we have dance parties every now and then!), rage-inducing games (I rage A LOT, but I love it.. I'm weird), the Sims and retro games sometimes! I stream from Wednesday to Sunday, during the evening on week days and during the afternoon on weekends!
What platform do you stream from? Where do you publish your content?
I stream on Twitch. I want to start posting more content on YouTube though.
What is the very first game you ever remember playing?
First game I've ever played was for sure on the SNES. It was either Donkey Kong Country or Super Mario All-Stars.
What about you and your stream do you feel sets you apart from other streamers?
My streams are very focus on interactions with my viewers/friends. We have a close relationship, they are my Twitch family. Plus, I feel like my Twitch channel is the only place where I can be 100% myself. I think I have a unique personality and a unique approach on stream and that would be what sets me apart from others.
What are your goals for your streaming community?
For my personal goals, the biggest one is to become a full-time streamer/content creator. Being able to live from my passion. Also, I want to get partnered on Twitch. For my stream community goals, I'm about to live one of them because I'm about to go to TwitchCon for the first time! Really excited about that! Meeting some fellow streamer friends has been a goal of mine for a long time. And I want to continue meeting new people and making new streamer/gamer friends!
How do you personally balance your streaming with work and your personal life?
By having a stream schedule and staying consistent with it. My family and IRL friends are all aware of my schedule. They know when I'm at work or streaming and they respect it. It makes is easier for me to balance it all.
Have you encountered any hardships with streaming? How have you worked through them and what advice do you have for your fellow streamers?
I took a 3 months break from streaming before. Life happens. Motivation wasn't there and my focus was on some IRL events that happened back then. I would suggest to take the time off if you need to. As much as streaming can be a great escape from reality during hard times, sometimes it's better to take a break and come back later. Your community loves you and they'll still be there for you when you'll come back.
What are some of your long term goals outside of your streaming career?
I really want to travel. I would love to explore the world and work on travel videos and creating that kind of content as well! It's been a dream of mine for years. First place I'd travel to: Japan!
Do you have any streaming tips or suggestions for your fellow True members, or anyone looking to start streaming?
For anyone who wants to start streaming... BE YOURSELF! Don't try to take someone else's style or personality because you think that will attract more people to your channel. Be you, be genuine. Also, start streaming as a hobby. Don't expect anything from it. Just have fun with it, meet fellow streamers/gamers, play games you enjoy. You don't even need any fancy equipment at first. Later, if you find out that you want to get more serious into streaming, start investing in it, but at first, just use what you already have and have fun!!
Is there anything else you'd like us or the community to know?
....it's pronounced Oh-Dory ;)
