In-Depth Questions
When did you start streaming and who or what influenced you?
Some close friends of mine were streamers and it was something I thought might be fun to go hand in hand with my commission work!
What do you like to stream and when do you typically stream?
The genres listed above, and art. Mon,Tue,Thur,Fri and Sun afternoons.
What platform do you stream from? Where do you publish your content?
Twitch
What is the very first game you ever remember playing?
Pokemon
What about you and your stream do you feel sets you apart from other streamers?
I think it's always nice to be able to see artists work live, because obviously no artists are exactly alike. I find it interesting to see other's process too.
What are your goals for your streaming community?
To just have a friendly environment where anyone can feel welcome. I really would like to give independent artists a platform as well where they can share their work or get critiqued.
How do you personally balance your streaming with work and your personal life?
Thankfully working from home eliminates a lot of stress and most often I'll do personal things on the weekends.
Have you encountered any hardships with streaming? How have you worked through them and what advice do you have for your fellow streamers?
Having a really horrible setup at first prevented me from doing a lot of the things I wanted for my stream and made it a little stressful. I worked hard and set aside money each time I was paid to improve the stream and thankfully met a ton of supportive people who helped get my name out there too. I'd say to not burn yourself out on it, stream what you enjoy rather than what you think is popular. People can tell when you're genuine or if you're just in it for the clout.
What are some of your long term goals outside of your streaming career?
I'd want to do freelancing illustration full time and to eventually move to the UK to be with my big lame boyfriend!
Do you have any streaming tips or suggestions for your fellow True members, or anyone looking to start streaming?
Take breaks when you need it, true fans won't be upset at you for taking time for your mental health. Play the games or make the content that makes you happy, not others. Taking inspiration from other content creators isn't a bad thing but definitely try to put your own spin on it.
Is there anything else you'd like us or the community to know?
Maybe we could try hosting occasional tournaments of some kind? I think involving the community members some more is a thing we should look into!
