In-Depth Questions
When did you start streaming and who or what influenced you?
I started streaming right out of High School in 2015, but could never really get a footing for it. Consistently streaming, however, started 2019 in June, and I've been a lot more motivated about it. I was inspired by my friend HypoTube [gonna shout him out here, great guy, funny personality, https://twitch.tv/HypoTube]. He pretty much convinced me that I'm more than capable to make it as a streamer, but I just had to get the mind set for it.
What do you like to stream and when do you typically stream?
I like to stream anything from single player adventures, simulators, and party games with friends. I typically stream on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. I occasionally stream other nights if I'm in a good mood for it.
What platform do you stream from? Where do you publish your content?
PC. I don't really publish any content anywhere. Only streaming on Twitch.
What is the very first game you ever remember playing?
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time back on the Nintendo 64. It may not be the first game I've played, but it's the first one I've played through and beaten. It holds a lot of passion in my heart.
What about you and your stream do you feel sets you apart from other streamers?
It's kind of hard to answer this question. There's an abundance of streamers out there that have a lot of different quirks and personalities when it comes to streaming.
What are your goals for your streaming community?
I more-or-less want a super friendly community where any and everybody can just come in and be themselves.
How do you personally balance your streaming with work and your personal life?
Most of my friends in my personal life also enjoy gaming, so we're constantly keeping in touch and talking with each other about each other's lives on the daily. Streaming and work has been smooth [so far] in terms of doing both at the same time.
Have you encountered any hardships with streaming? How have you worked through them and what advice do you have for your fellow streamers?
Only hardship that comes to mind are those dry spells where nobody's in chat talking with either me or other viewers. Makes the activity feel kind of lonely. But I keep my head up and be patient, because I'm still a newer streamer and I'll hopefully have my desired audience sooner or later!
What are some of your long term goals outside of your streaming career?
To live a happy life. Cliche, I know. But I want to be living a life where I enjoy what I'm doing, get excited when I come home to someone close to me.
Do you have any streaming tips or suggestions for your fellow True members, or anyone looking to start streaming?
It's going to be rough at the start. Get in contact with friends before you start and let them know that you're thinking of picking up streaming. It may not be a lot, but just a couple friends consistently lurking in your stream can impact your future as a streamer substantially.
Is there anything else you'd like us or the community to know?
Stay wonderful. You're an amazing group of people brought together by some amazing people. If it wasn't for True and the friendly people within it, I probably would've lost motivation to continue streaming, and for that I thank each and every one of you guys!
